Direct Fired Units

SolutionAir AW-D units use ultra-efficient direct-fired burners allowing better control over discharge temperature. This method eliminates the use of a heat exchanger by burning the combustible directly in the airstream, achieving 100% combustion efficiency and a 92% overall thermal efficiency (8% of the total heat goes into the latent heat of water formed by combustion).
AW-Ds can provide up to a 30:1 turn down ratio. Providing this high of turndown and a fully modulating system, the unit will provide precise temperature control to the space which results in the highest IAQ and comfort. This smooth operation also maximizes the life of the equipment in lieu of constantly staging valves and stopping and starting fans.

Indirect Fired Units – Drum and Tube

Make-up air is generally required to replace air exhausted from the building, balance building pressurization and/or to maintain acceptable indoor air quality (IAQ). In many cases all three requirements can be met by a ventilation unit.
AW-I units can incorporate DX cooling, energy recovery, and customized controls to meet application specific needs.

Indirect Fired Units – Convoluted Tube

The PMI-IF series are indirect gas fired make-up air units that utilize high-efficiency stainless steel convoluted tube heat exchangers. By separating combustion air from the supply air, the unit is able to maintain excellent indoor air quality (IAQ). These units can be used in schools, offices, and institutional projects – anywhere that IAQ is paramount. The convoluted tube furnace for gas heat is one of the most cost effective indirect fired designs.
